According to the definition of the OIV (Office International de la Vigne et du Vin), the world’s most comprehensive viticulture and winemaking institution, the special conditions created by the weather, soil characteristics and topographic structure in the region where the grape is grown, combined with the human element and production traditions, are called “Teruar”. Dec. In order to make the flavors from the vineyards and the unique character of the region feel complete, teruar wine is also used for wines produced without the use of flavor-changing processes during the production stages.
Arcadia Vineyards, planted at an altitude of 150 meters between the villages of Cesmekolu and Hamit Decatur, on the lands where the historical Wine Road passes, are located at the exact midpoint of Thrace, showing continental climate characteristics, with high temperature differences day and night.
3. The land, which was the seabed from the geological period, was filled with erosion from the Strandja massif, a very old formation, first turning into a delta and then into a valley running under the mountain. Later, it also underwent erosion and formed the hills and valleys of today. The heterogeneous structure that we see in side-by-side parcels of the same land provides a unique richness of taste by sampling granite, quarzite, sandy and clay soil structures from different regions of Strandja with different soil characteristics that occur at each altitude. The constant breeze from the north and the temperature difference day and night give our grapes a strong acidity and freshness.
In order to make a product that preserves its special flavors to me, we preferred sensitive methods that will require minimal intervention at every stage from the installation of bonds to the selection of production processes.
We have applied the Lyre String Finishing System, which is the first in Turkey in vineyards and provides balanced maturation control.
We produce Arcadia products from grapes grown in our own vineyards. we grow ten different types of grapes on 350 decares of vineyard land; Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Papascari, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Pinot Gris and Narince.
Besides these, we work with different grapes in our R&D package and add the ones we choose from to production in the process. Deca Deca works with different grapes in our R&D package.
